It's been ages since we, CC+J last posted!

All is well and life's been busy but nevertheless we are pleased to announced that we at CC+J now have our very own Idea & Planning Room!

With objective of making ideas the core of our company, a brand new room has been created to encourage and nourish this new value in everyone at CC+J. So... Without further ado, let use present to you our brand new Idea & Planning Room!

It all started out as pure, nonsense fun of Chin Yong, our Design Director doodling a moustache on Mok, our Head of Creative's face as he stood on the other side of the window making faces at everyone inside.. As Chin Yong started to trace Mok's face on the glass, the outcome looked really interesting.. And one by one, everyone got out of their seats and started joining in on the fun..

A little bit of rest, fun and strategy in the Haus

Come 6 something pm after a long, fruitful day at work, the people of the haus decided to celebrate with a well earned little R&R in our nice little office..

Now that one chess game is lost, Mok is now dead set on not losing this set.. Well, it was a close game and Mok came out victorious.. Guess focusing is a lot better than multi-taking when it comes to chess.. ;D

Operation Cleaning!!

Today, everyone at CC+J woke up bright and early for our little office "gotong royong" day.. Much was needed to be done to re-organize everything in the office.. This is in lieu with our company's new Quarterly Agenda "Back to Basics"..

And now we would like to present to you the results of our "gotong royong":

Exactly this date a month ago was our dear dear boss Chee Chiaw's birthday!! Happy belated birthday!! As of today he is officially 24 years and 1 month old!! XD

For his birthday, we all decided to treat him to Kenny Rogers for lunch as well as a little birthday cake.. :D

Our dear Design Director turned 26 last month!! XD

21st last month was our dear dear Design Director, Chin Yong's birthday and he's officially 26 now!

It was his 1st celebration with us so we decided to surprise him. Most of us except Henry sneaked out of the room and switched off the room lights before appearing with the birthday cake.. "Happy Birthday to you~~ You are born in the zoo~~" :P

Everyone shared to have a little pizza party for lunch but we were not allowed to eat until Chin Yong finish his work in time to meet the deadline.. :D Faster Chin Yong!! Hungry la!!

Warmest welcome to our new Art Director, Henry!

CC+J Adhaus now has a new superhero in the family!

Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting to you Henry Leow, our new Art Director!

The story starts about 2 years ago when Siang Kar, a friend of our Creative Director Joescher mentioned to him once during a discussion about Kancil Awards that he has a friend called Henry Leow who earned a merit in the 2006 Kancil Student Awards. One day, Siang Kar went to find Joescher in the office and with him was Henry. The 3 started chatting about design and Joescher, who was very busy at that time, was so impressed by Henry's vast knowledge and strong passion about design that he actually stopped work for 4 hours just to continue talking to Henry. Henry who was then a freelancer, left his name card that day. Knowing one day he would work with Henry, Joescher kept his name card very well.

1 year later, when the company was in need of a freelancer, Joescher remembered Henry and immediately took his name card out and contacted him. According to Joescher, Henry was the only freelancer that he gave a job to without first looking at his portfolio. Makes you think doesn't it? So it is without a doubt that Henry is indeed extremely talented and very passionate about design.

With his passion, strong conceptual thinking, vast knowledge and exposure in International design, Henry will bring value to the company by making sure every project is a unique solution and lift CC+J up to our benchmark of comparing our works to International standards. He will indeed be our CC+J family's new superhero.

So welcome Henry to CC+J Adhaus and let's make brands famous!

Cent is in the Haus~~

There's a new baby in the CC+J family - CENT TIAN!

(Of course, the term 'baby' is used here figuratively. Cent is actually a VERY big man.)

We first got to know Cent at an MIM Toastmasters meeting, where he attended with a group of classmates and lecturer. Always being one to stand out, the big man volunteered to take on the Table Topic Challenge and delivered a hugely impressive speech.

Following that, his lecturer approached Joescher to enquire about an internship programme at CC+J Adhaus. We gladly accepted and invited the entire group of 7 for a group interview. Suffice to say, Cent shone brightest with his passion and conviction - for the job, the agency and his personal goals in life.

In fact, when Joescher SMSed all the candidates asking: "How much do you want the internship? 1 - It would be nice to have, 2 - I would really love it, 3 - I would do whatever it takes.", Cent was the first and only one to reply 3. And so, here he ended up.

A major in Psychology and Sociology, Cent has proven himself to be an extremely insightful thinker and speaker. Even when the creative team was brainstorming for ideas on a major project this past week, he willingly joined to chip in with new perceptions and relentless research.

Cent will be serving as a Project Manager in CC+J Adhaus for the next four months - in other words, the guy responsible for breathing down our necks and making sure every project gets delivered ON TIME, and ON PAR! Mentoring him shall be the legendary Creative Director Joescher and Account Director Zen - the dynamic duo will train him in areas of Project Management, Servicing and Business Entrepreneurship.

Keep learning hard and live the CC+J experience to the fullest Cent - the team is behind you all the way!

Music is in heart of the Haus..

It is my 3rd day in the haus and as I think back to the last 2 days, in my memory there is endless laughter, different sounds and music.. The guys here love to suddenly start singing (sometimes screaming) at the top of lungs and make weird noises as they work which will just make you burst out laughing..

Teh loves chinese songs like the group Mayday and would sing along occasionally as he works.. Sometimes out of key but when you look at his I-know-I-look-silly-but-I'm-having-fun-so-I-don't-care face as he's singing, you can't help but laugh and feel like joining him too..

Zen loves Japanese songs and love to sing out of the blue as he types away at his laptop.. Sometimes Teh will join him although he probably isn't singing the same song and it is so much fun to just observe them as they sing together.. Zen will sometimes have this passionate-and-so-into-singing look with a bit of theatrical comedic look on his face as he sings louder and louder which is will always make me want to laugh and feel like clap along to give him encouragement..

I don't really know Chee Chiaw's music preferences as when there's music being played in the background at the Servicing Department to my memory is most of the time coming out from Teh's laptop or Zen's laptop.. But he would laugh and sometimes sing along with the other 2 "braders" in such a way that you can get that he's enjoying himself..

Come to the Creative Department and you'll have Mok with his passion for Malay songs.. ("Because their lyrics have meaning..") On my 1st day at the office, I was sitting in the Creative Department and Mok decided to give me an insight to what the company theme song is.. He then played a slow Malay ballad and started passionately singing along off-key with flowy hand movements.. I was at a lost whether to laugh or to hold it in when Chin Yong took one look at him and started blasting the rock song "脱掉" (The word in chinese is "take off" for clothes..) by Alex To before grinning at the already "ter-potong steam" Mok who had a =.= look on his face.. The 2 then proceeded to have a competition of who can blast the loudest by jamming the "Increase Volume" button on their Macs.. By then, I was already laughing my head off..

Last but certainly not least would be Joescher.. Joescher loves to sing and I do mean LOVE to sing.. He sings a lot of chinese songs and his voice can be heard as he walks around the office doing his work while singing loudly with such a look of enjoyment on his face..

As for Sharon and I, we would sit and watch all of them with a smile on our face.. Sometimes even shaking our heads while laughing..

So.. From my observation of CC+J from the last 2 days, I have come to the conclusion that music is indeed in the heart of the CC+J Adhaus.. And therefore I end this post with a note that all is good and well in CC+J, where fun, music and laughter is mixed into the process of making brands famous.. :D

Wassup!! Crystal interning in the Haus!! :P

Hi All.. The name is Crystal and I am the new padawan of CC+J Adhaus.. A hopeful copywriter-to-be with a love for words and a happy-go-lucky attitude, I am looking forward to my long internship here.. I am a RMIT University Bachelor of Arts (Multimedia) graduate and used to be a flash designer cum programmer but realised that it was not meant to be so I sourced around and decided on copywriting!!

How come you get intership here one?

Erm.. Me found CC+J in 95% Training Academy's brochures where me now enjoying myself in the Copywriters In Progress Course.. One fine evening before me course started, Me go online, me check out CC+J website, "Oh my god!! So cool their ideas!!", got their email, emailed them and crossed me fingers all the way.. Got interview, went interview, got internship, me smile for many many days and here me is today in the office.. XD

Got good mentor or not ah?

Got!! Me Sifus are Mok for the creative side and Teh from the servicing side.. ;) U know what.. Me thinks me going to learn much much and have many many fun here!!

You like the place or not ah?

Like!! Everyone is so fun!! And I tell you.. The office is so comfortable!! Got Air-con le.. So chun!! I at home only got fan le.. :P

Ok.. enough of my china-fied talking style.. :P

Anyways, it's only the first day and I'm loving the vibe here so I know I'm going to enjoy myself here.. After all, fun is an essential part of learning.. And here at CC+J, I can tell that I will get that.. So here's my one step forward towards thousands or even millions of steps into my future as a copywriter.. *STEP*
